Star

Star is a short 7-mile drive West of Eagle on Hwy 44. With Star being so close to Eagle, it has a much slower quieter feel. Star consists of a lot of farmlands with subdivisions surrounding them. The Star Mercantile and Lumbar is the main store in town, and has been there for over 100 years. The Merc is a combination grocery store, liquor store, hardware store and lumber store. Star does have a few clothing boutiques in town, but if you want something else you will have to drive to surrounding towns. Two grocery chains have purchased land in Star and are slated to be built in the next year or two. Star River walk is a popular trail that runs along the north riverbank of the Boise River and a great place to enjoy fishing and swimming.
